Robin Benziger
Lieutenant Colonel, New York State Police
(Retired)

LT. Colonel Robin Benziger is a 35-year veteran of the New York State Police and retired in 2018 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

 Promoted through the ranks, she served in supervisory and command positions as well as administrative assignments. She was the first woman to hold a field command position in the agency when she was promoted to Lieutenant in 1993, she was also the first woman Director of Training for the entire agency when she was appointed Major in 2008.

 She proudly served as Troop K Commander and was Assistant Detail Commander for Governor George Pataki’s protective security unit. As a state-certified instructor, she has provided training to police officers and developed curriculum on a wide variety of topics.

 Lieutenant Colonel Benziger has an Associate’s Degree in Registered Nursing, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Buffalo State College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marist College. She is also a graduate of the 178th session of the FBI National Academy.

 Currently, she is the owner of ByHeart Consulting, specializing in Leadership Development and Career Planning.
 

Jacqueline Salvatore
Senior Investigator & Director of the Police Employee Assistance Program,
New York State Police
(Retired)

Senior Investigator Jacqueline Salvatore is a lifelong Columbia County resident and graduate of Hudson High School. She also has a degree from Vision Christian Bible College & Seminary in Clermont, Florida.

Jackie began her career with New York State at the NYS Crime Victims Board as a legal assistant. Jackie then worked for the NYS Office of Developmental Disabilities, in the Rate Appeals Unit. 

She then entered the State Police Academy in March of 1988.  After successfully completing the Academy she became a Road Trooper and advanced to the position of Investigator, Senior Investigator and Director of the Employee Assistance Program.

Jackie is trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, Recovery Peer Advocacy and a multitude of other modalities that help people alleviate stress and live fulfilling lives 

Jackie currently works as office administrator of the Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency.

Mishanda Franklin
Sergeant, Hudson Police Department

Sgt Mishanda Franklin was born and raised in Hudson, NY. She is a Hudson High School graduate and previously worked for Hudson’s Youth Department and Operation Unite NY. She attended Columbia Greene Community College, University of Arizona, and New York University and studied Psychology, Sociology and Law.

She graduated  Zone 14 Police Academy in 2003 at the age of 20, and shortly thereafter joined female Sgt Delvecchio on the Hudson Police force.  She is an 18-year veteran of HPD and was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in October 2017.
She is a certified Department of Criminal Justice trainer, including a field trainer, a Child Safety Seat Technician, a Bicycle Officer and Hospital Liaison.  

Outside of HPD, she is a fitness coach and Olympic weightlifting coach.
