Helping Adults Living with Mental and Physical Challenges

At the CCWA we are committed to supporting women in all ways. This year, Elena Mosely has brought to our attention the needs of adults living with mental or physical challenges in state funded group homes, like her son Tristin. While Tristin has all the support and love he needs, others in his group home in Greenport are not so lucky.

Due to COVID-19 and related state budget cuts, the group home operator, Inflight Agency which runs 10 group homes in Columbia County, has restricted almost all activities to the home but has not been able to increase in-house activities due to budget cuts.

If you are interested in gifting board games, craft supplies or small exercise equipment to residents in the Columbia County homes, please contact Elena Mosely at elena@operationuniteny.org and she will gladly suggest board games, craft supplies and the type of exercise equipment needed.
