Elena Mosley’s Operation Unite Featured in Rural Intelligence

CCWA Founding Member Elena Mosley was featured in Rural Intelligence today for her work with Operation Unite New York, a youth-based organization Mosley founded and directs.

The mission of Operation Unite, New York is to produce well-rounded, progressive youth who will enter adulthood with a sense of direction, self-esteem and social consciousness and subsequently reinvest themselves into the community from which they came.

Operation Unit provides wide ranging programs for youth, including dance, art and music classes, night programming for older teens and younger adults, summer programs based on interactive literacy activities, tutoring for advancement, college clubs (with visits to colleges in a two- hour radius) and a mentoring program with Bard College students.
