JOIN TSL for Time to Talk: In Conversation with Nell Irvin Painter
Join the conversation on race, class, politics, and art with writer, painter, thinker Nell Irvin Painter. The proposed topics of discussion include the great upheaval of 2020 marked by the death of George Floyd, Painter’s work on Sojourner Truth, living in the present iteration of uber-nationalism and white supremacy, the effects of the long pandemic, and residing in Upstate, NY vs Newark, NJ. Painter is the author of many books, articles, and essays including The History of White People, Sojourner Truth: A Life, A Symbol, and Old in Art School.
